Prof. Manoj Anand has more than three-decades of academic and administrative experience. He has vast teaching, research, and consulting experience with different business schools such as Indian Institute of Management Lucknow, Indian Institute of Management Indore; SP Jain Institute of Management & Research, Mumbai; UBS & UIAMS, Panjab University, Chandigarh; and National Institute of Financial Management Faridabad. He has also been a visiting faculty to IIM Kashipur, Raipur, Rohtak and Sirmaur.

He has been Convener, IIM Kashipur Task Force during 2011-12. He has been Dean (Academic Affairs) during 2011-13 at IIM Lucknow; Chairman of Post Graduate Program in Management during 2008-10 at IIM Lucknow and Chairman of Working Managers’ Program at Noida Campus during 2014-16 of IIM Lucknow.

Prof. Manoj Anand has been given Best Faculty Award by the Graduating Students of IIM Lucknow: Batch 2008; 2009 & Batch 2010 and by Graduating Students of IIM Kashipur: Batch 2013.

Prof. Anand has also worked with Customs and Central Excise Commissionerate as an ICAS Officer during the period 1991-95.

Prof. Anand’s teaching, research and consulting interests include Financial Reporting, Corporate Finance, Infrastructure Project Finance, and Strategic Cost & Financial Management.

Prof. Veena Iyer has almost 11 years of industry experience. Besides, she has also taught Finance and Economics at ITUC-Hyderabad, XIME-Bangalore and ICFAI Business School-Bangalore for close to 4 years.

Prior to joining MDI in August 2013, Prof. Iyer had been working with Infosys Ltd. for nearly 7 years. Her last position with the company was of a Senior Practice Lead in the area of Business and Strategy Research. In this role she has led teams of analysts for many research assignments for clients viz. drawing up business plans for capital raising, evaluating market strategy of a multinational in different markets, competitive analysis for strategy development, counterparty credit risk analysis for banking clients, Investment thesis for a private equity client, etc.

Prior to joining MDI Gurgaon, Prof. Jain taught at IIM Kashipur and FSM, New Delhi. Prof. Jain has also worked for one of India's leading private banks in their Proprietary Trading division. He has published several papers in international journals and has presented his research at international conferences. Given his passion for management education, he has published cases with Richard Ivey Business Publishing and Harvard Business Publishing. His research and consulting interest areas are Financial Market Microstructure, Financial Derivatives & Risk Management and Derivatives Pricing.

Prof. Bhatnagar launched her academic career at IIM-Ahmedabad in 1990, and has over twenty one and a half years of corporate and academic experience. With MDI, since, 2004, Prof Bhatnagar,  offers Talent Management, HRM, SHRM and HRIS modules at MDI. At MDI, Jyotsna received Excellence in Research Award, 2013-2014; the  Excellence in Teaching Award-2008. The Best Faculty award student's choice (PG 2011 and 2006). Best Research Paper for Practical Implications, 2009-Emerald Literati, UK at AOM Conference, Montréal , Canada, 2010.

Prof. Sharma has 15 years of teaching experience in BBS program by Delhi University¸5 years of Industry experience in both private and public sectors. 
Training Experience-Top/ Senior managers from RBI¸ SBI¸ Bank of Baroda¸ Maruti Udyog Limited¸ Baxter. Executives from ONGC¸ IFFCO & National Institute of Aviation Management-Training institute for International Airport Authority of India. Open MDPs in MDI¸ Gurgaon and IIC¸ New Delhi. 
 She has actively partnered/ supported in social work by associating with NGO’s such as SOS Village¸ Goonj ¸ Hriday Shan¸ Manzil¸ Muskan¸ the YP Foundation and Gandhi Darshan Samiti¸ New Delhi. She has been coordinator Women’s Development Cell¸ constituted by Delhi Government for women students in higher education and Chairperson-Committee against sexual harassment (CASH) and Gender Sensitization in S. S.C B S¸ Delhi University. She has designed Social Auditing procedure for minority primary schools for an Aga Khan foundation Project.
Her papers presented in international conferences include a paper on “A comparative Audit of Performance Management System of selected banks in India and its contribution in delivering quality service to its Internal and External customers”. in 21st workshop on strategic human resource management¸ Aston Business School¸ Birmingham¸ 2006 & ”Service Quality & HR perspective” in Tenth Quality in Services Symposium (QUIS 10) Orlando¸ Florida¸ 2007. Paper published in seminar proceedings. 

Dr. Biswas’ experience includes teaching Organizational Behaviour¸ Research Methodology¸ and Human Resource Management at the Xavier Institute of Social Services¸ Ranchi. Prior to joining IIT Kharagpur as a research scholar¸ he was associated with XLRI Jamshedpur as a Research Assistant in the OB/HR Area.

Dr. Biswas has published articles in quite a few national and international journals and has also presented papers in several international conferences such as the annual conference of the Academy of Management¸ the European Academy of Management¸ the Asian Academy of Management¸ the Australia-New Zealand Academy of Management¸ the American Society of Training and Development¸ the National Academy of Psychology¸ and the Indian Congress of Social Science Research.

Prof D P Goyal, with over 32 years of teaching, research and academic administrative experience to his credit, is currently working as Professor of Management Information Systems at Management Development Institute (MDI)¸ Gurgaon and Visiting Professor at Aarhus University, Aarhus, Denmark. He has rich experience of working in various senior administrative positions including Dean (Graduate Programmes, Accreditations & Rankings) and Dean-Executive Graduate Programmes at MDI Gurgaon; Dean-Academics at IMT Ghaziabad and Director of a Ghaziabad based b-school. Before joining as Professor at MDI Gurgaon in 2009, Prof Goyal has worked as Professor at IMT Ghaziabad; Associate Professor (Reader) at Punjabi University, Patiala;and Assistant Professor (Lecturer) at Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology, Patiala.  In recognition of excellence in academics and research, Prof Goyal has been awarded with merit certificate, merit scholarship, best professor award and best research paper award by different organisations. His teaching and research interest areas include Management Information Systems; IS Strategy; Enterprise Resource Planning Systems; Business Process Management; eGovernance; IS Value for Business and Knowledge Management.

Prof Goyal has successfully supervised 14 PhD research scholars; published over 60 research papers in refereed national and international journals of repute; been principal investigator of UGC sponsored research projects; organized several conferences both at the national and international level; presented his research findings in more than 40 national and International Conferences; and  published 18 books including three highly acclaimed text books one each on Management Information Systems: Managerial Perspectives  published by Macmillan; Enterprise Resource Planning: A Managerial Perspective published by Tata McGraw Hill; and IT Project Management published by Macmillan.  He has also been the editor of a couple of research journals; and is on the Editorial Board of many national and international journals. He has conducted a large number of Executive Development Programmes for senior level managers/officers from public, private and government organizations. He has widely travelled globally on professional assignments and been to many countries including USA, Europe, Japan, Australia, South Korea, Hong Kong, Singapore, etc.

Prof Goyal has been on the expert/ assessment/selection committees of Directorate of Higher Education, Government of Delhi and GGSIP University; All India Council for Technical Education; Department of Personnel & Training; National eGovernance Department (NeGD), Government of India and many universities and b-schools including Central/State universities and IIMs. He is also on the Board of Governors; Academic Advisory Board; Academic Council; Board of Studies of a large number of business schools and universities. He is a member of a number of professional bodies including Association for Information Systems; Indian National Science Congress and Indian Society for Technical Education, etc.

Prof. Jaiswal has been visiting faculty at IIM Ahmedabad and IIM Indore. Before joining MDI, he worked as Assistant Professor at Institute of Rural Management, Anand. He has been engaged in developing Capability Maturity Model (CMM) for IT and ITES at Carnegie Mellon University, USA and also was engaged in developing e-Business simulation game in partnership with Erasmus & Delft University, NL as part of  European Union funded large research project. He drafted policy document on “ICT Strategy for Indian Manufacturing Competitiveness” for DIIP, Government of India. His area of expertise includes Startups and Social Entrepreneurship Strategy, Digital Platform Innovation & Governance, Business Transformation and Contract management for large ERP and e-Government Projects. He has authored 7 books and over 50 research papers/cases in International/national journals and conference proceedings.

He has been engaged as Management Consultant on ERP and large IT Projects for several Organizations such as Coal India Ltd (CIL); Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL); POWERGRID; SJVN Ltd; Rural Electrification Corporation Ltd; Cochin International Airport Pvt. Ltd.;  Indian Railways (RiTES, IRCON, RLDA, CRIS); Asian Development Bank (ADB); HP State Electricity Board Ltd; HP Power Corporation Ltd; Punjab State Power Corporation Ltd.;  FACT Kochin; NTPC-SAIL JV; TCIL etc. 

Prof. Nath spent three years on the Research Staff of IIT Delhi. Subsequently¸ he worked with NIIT Ltd. for almost 20 years. As part of his stint at NIIT¸ he established and headed the National Institute of Sales (NIS) in 1991. Subsequently in 1995¸ he created and headed the LEDA project¸ which revolutionises children’s learning through the use of Multi Media Technology. He also conceptualised and headed the eBusiness Consulting Group at NIIT. 
His last assignment at NIIT was heading NIIT’s CRM Practice as Senior Vice President¸ after which he joined MDI in 2002. 
Prior to joining MDI¸ he was also a visiting faculty in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering¸ at IIT Delhi.
Prof. Nath has conducted Top Management Workshops in areas such as E-Commerce and Managing IT¸ and been a consultant to organisations such as Glaxo¸ Hindustan Lever¸ Apollo Hospitals¸ Gillette¸ Nestle¸ Indianoil Corporation¸ Thermax¸ Ministry of Railways¸ Vijaya Bank¸ Raymond¸ Air India¸ Bajaj Auto¸ etc. His consulting assignments have been in the area of IT Strategy and Planning¸ and eBusiness. He has also conducted programs in eGovernance for the Prime Minister of Namibia and the Chief Minister of Delhi.
Prof Nath was awarded a medal for the first position in India in Physics in the All India Higher Secondary exam¸ 1972. He was also 6th in the overall merit list of the same exam. He has been elected a member of the New York Academy of Sciences 
Finally¸ he was invited by the Ministry of Science and Technology to deliver the National Science Day Lecture in 2001 .

Prof. Kapil has an experience spanning over 18 years. Prior to joining active academics¸ he has worked in various companies such as Chemtrol technologies¸ L&T¸ and Cipla handling product and brand management functions. During his stay in industry he has launched various brands which are well established now. He has been active in academics for last thirteen years where he has taught various courses such as Marketing Management¸ Brand Management¸ and Consumer Behavior. Prior to joining MDI¸ he has worked with IPM as Deputy Director and IMT Ghaziabad as Assistant Professor. Dr. Kapil is actively involved in executive education¸ consulting and research. Apart from writing three books¸ he has also published research papers and case studies in various international and national journals of repute.

Dr. Mukherjee blends latest academic research and industry experience to provide fresh perspective and insights to marketing problems. He had worked in industry for nine years from 1992-2001. The work experience included branch management, institution sales responsibility and development of soft luggage range for Aristocrat luggages. He was the Product Manager for ICI Paints, when the imported automotive refinish paint portfolio was introduced in India. The assignment included all India rollout, sales force effectiveness tool development, establishing of a specialized sales organization for the product, complete supply chain management, and marketing strategy formulation. He was the Brand Manager responsible for implementing the sub branding strategy of Godrej refrigerators as well as branch management function in Orissa. Before joining MDI Gurgaon in 2007, he has taught at XIM Bhubaneswar and had been a visiting faculty at S.P. Jain Dubai Campus. He offers elective courses in Sales and Distribution, Business to Business Marketing, Product Management, Marketing Strategy, and Marketing for Virtual World.

Dr. Sharma has a teaching experience of over 16 years. Before joining academics, she has worked in companies like Cipla limited, Thompson Consumer Electronics etc. for close to 4 years. She has held various teaching and administrative responsibilities during her academic tenure. At MDI, apart from her academic output, she has collaborated with Govt. of Haryana Directorate of Urban Local Bodies as a consultant for marketing communication and content development for Smart Cities in the State of Haryana, India. Furthermore, she has completed an assignment in the capacity of a consultant with Government of India’s Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) on the evaluation of Prime Minister’s Employment generation programme (PMEGP scheme). She has also acted as a Honorary consultant to Khadi and Village Industries (KVIC) for the marketing of KVIC products.

Dr. Chatterjee began his professional career with TELCO¸ Pune where he worked for a period of two years in the production and maintenance departments. Thereafter he worked with BHEL at its Bhopal Plant for 17 years. While in industry Dr. Chatterjee maintained close links with the academic world and was visiting faculty to IIM¸ Indore and the Indian Institute of Forest Management¸ Bhopal. He has also conducted programmes on materials management for Confedration of Indian Industry at New Delhi¸ for IPCL at Vadodara¸ and for Tata Telecom & ITC at Hyderabad. 
Dr¸ Chatterjee has authored a book – “Applied Materials Management” published by M/s Sage Publications India Private Ltd which has been well received both by practicing professionals in the area and by management schools.
Dr. Chatterjee has executed a number of Consultancy assignments¸ the major ones amongst them being the Restructuring of the Directorate General of Foreign Trade¸ Restructuring of Engineers India Limited¸ Work Study of Banking Hall Activities of Reserve Bank of India¸ Mumbai and Manpower Assessment for Hyderabad Traffic Police.

A certified Lean Six Sigma Master Black belt(MBB) from Indian Statistical Institute, she combines her cross-industry project-consulting exposure with state-of-the-art academic research to add value to the discussions in her teaching and consulting assignments. She has taught courses on Operations Management, Service Operations Management, Statistical Research Methods, Materials Management, Quality Management (Lean Management, Six Sigma, TQM, BPR), and Quantitative Methods. She has taken up many International teaching assignments including Georgian College, Canada, Kathmandu University, Nepal. She has received MDI Award for Excellence in Research in 2017. He is also associated with many consulting assignments in the area of Operations and Supply Chain Management and developing training modules for the client by assessing their training needs.

He has guided more than 240 dissertations in management field for the students of various post-graduate programmes. Three FPM (Ph.D.) thesis in supply chain management have been successfully completed under his supervision and presently other Two FPM (Ph.D.) thesis are in-process under his guidance. He has published research papers in supply chain field in various national and international journals of repute like, Asia-Pacific Journal of Business Administration, International Journal of Information Systems and Supply Chain Management, International Journal of Quality & Reliability Management, British Journal of Healthcare Management, British Food Journal, International Journal of Technology Management and Sustainable Development etc. and authored study material on World Class Manufacturing. He has also authored 22 Cases in case publishing houses like Ivey Publishing-Canada and The Case Centre-UK. He is also the member of “FICCI National Logistics Committee”, set up towards achieving substantial improvement in the logistic sector of the country.

Prof. Kumar explores questions at the intersection of policies and practice that promote sustainability, inclusion and participation in organisations and society. In his over two decades of experience, he brings experience of working with NGOs, government, corporate houses and academic institutions. Prof. Kumar work revolves around mainstreaming marginalised through citizen centric governance, sustainable models of rural livelihoods/social entrepreneurship and designing corporate social responsible practices to promote sustainable partnership between company-community for long term solutions. The common endeavour in his work is to create operational directions/solutions to real-world problems by bridging theoretical and conceptual understanding in the field. His current research interest is to establish interplay between identity, income and insecurity in the context of empowerment

Before joining Management Development Institute, Gurgaon in 2006, he served as a faculty in TERI University. At Development Alternatives (DA) he undertook several assessments, including Asia Pacific Programme Capacity 21 (UNDP), designed Process Monitoring System for World Food Programme, India and authored chapters in the State of Environment-South Asia (UNEP); Prior to DA, he worked at IPE (Enterprise London School of Economics) and Center for Development Economic, Delhi School of Economics.

He has extensive experience of working with the communities in the poorest areas, especially in Jharkhand, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Orissa and Uttar Pradesh. As a core team member, Prof. Kumar was resource person to Administrative Reform Commission, GoI on “Good Governance in Public Sector”; He was responsible for planning and designing of Mid Career Training (Phase III) of Indian Administrative Services Officers for DoPT with Duke University; he designed Poorest Areas Civil Society Programme (DFID, Phase II). Member Academic Council of Anthropology Without Borders, Indian Anthropological Association to act as the advisory body as well as to review the work from time to time.  Dr. Kumar was member Academic Council Advisor to the Public Policy, Law & Governance Programme, Central University of Rajasthan. Dr. Kumar is jury of 2good4good Corporate Social Responsibility award for Economic Times and KPMG; Resource Person to National Rural Livelihoods Mission, GoI since 2014. He was member board at large of  Society for Human Ecology , Washington (2010-11 and 2011-12).  He is currently member editorial board of ISTM Journal of Training Research and Governance.

He has delivered lectures at various academic institutes/universities, multilateral organizations, corporate houses, government departments. He has presented papers and chaired sessions in several national/international conferences/seminars in Nepal, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Pakistan, and France. He has published and reviewed articles for the leading international journals.

Alok Misra has  24 years of professional experience in international development, rural finance/microfinance/inclusive finance  and research at both policy and implementation level. He started his career with India’s apex rural development bank (NABARD) in 1992, wherein his work spanned financial sector supervision, institutional development, microfinance,  agricultural/rural finance and rural livelihoods/MSME finance. He was also part of multi institutional task force (2003-2004) responsible for setting up India’s first online demutualised commodities exchange (NCDEX). In 2008, he shifted to a global microfinance rating, policy analysis and technical advisory agency. In M-CRIL, as CEO he has done extensive work on credit ratings, social ratings, portfolio audits, programme evaluations, risk diagnostics, advisory and country sector evaluations.  Alok has worked across institutions in both developed and developing countries such as Bangladesh, Cambodia, Cameroon, Georgia, India, Indonesia, Kenya, Kyrgyzstan, Malawi,  Morocco, Nepal, Nigeria, Netherlands, New Zealand, Rwanda, Philippines, Timor Leste, Uganda and Vietnam.  and supervised work across many other countries. In his long career, Alok has provided consulting services to various multilaterals such as  ADB, UNCDF, World Bank, IFC, GIZ and SDC.

Currently, Alok Misra is a member of the Strategic Advisory Board on Microfinance constituted by NABARD , member of  Inclusive Finance India Group of Advisors and member of Digital finance working group constituted by ITU, Geneva. Alok has written numerous articles and reports and last year he authored "Responsible Finance India report, 2015" commissioned by Access Development Services and published by Sage Publications. Alok's  teaching, research and consulting interest are in development policy analysis, poverty & rural finance, design and evaluation of development projects, inclusive finance, digital finance, impact investment, social entrepreneurship  and risk mitigation.

Prof. Narain's teaching and academic interests are in the inter-disciplinary analyses of public policy processes and institutions, water governance, gender, rights and equity analyses in water management, periurban issues and vulnerability and adaptation to environmental change. In particular he is interested in the relationship between technologies and institutions in water management, and how they are impacted by each other. He explores these issues using qualitative research tools with a strong reliance on ethnography.

He has been working extensively on periurban issues, especially in the context of vulnerability and adaptation to environmental change and water insecurity. His research on these dynamics has been published in peer-reviewed journals like Geoforum, Land Use Policy, Environment and Urbanization, Water Policy and Water International. He co-edited, as lead editor “Water Security in periurban South Asia: adapting to climate change and urbanization (Oxford University Press, 2016), “Indian Water Policy at the cross-roads: resources, technology and reforms (Springer, 2016)” and “Globalization of water governance in South Asia (Routledge: Taylor and Francis, 2014).” 

He received the SR Sen Prize for the best book on Agricultural Economics and Rural Development (2002-03) conferred by the Indian Society of Agricultural Economics for his book ‘Institutions, technology and water control: water users associations and irrigation management reform in two large scale systems in India (Orient Longman, 2003).” 

He was a lead author for the chapter on human vulnerability to environmental change for GEO (Global Environment Outlook)-  4, the flagship publication of UNEP, the United Nations Environment Programme. He has completed consultancy assignments for a wide variety of international organizations such as the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, Bangkok, The International Water Management Institute, IWMI, Colombo, The STEPS Center, University of Sussex, UK, The Asia Foundation, New Delhi and SaciWATERs, the South Asian Consortium for Inter-disciplinary Water Resources Studies, Secunderabad, India. 

He has been engaged in developing curricula and delivering MDPs (Management Development Programmes)   around water and gender equity. He has also conducted shorter training programmes around public policy analysis and inter-disciplinary water resources research for such organisations as TERI University, New Delhi, GALVMed, Global Alliance for Livestock Veterinary Medicine, Edinburgh and SaciWATERs, South Asian Consortium for Inter-Disciplinary Water Resources Studies, Secunderabad, India.

Prior to MDI, he was Assistant Professor, Department of Policy Studies, TERI University. He received the Best Researcher Award at Management Development Institute, for the year 2016.
