The AICTE and AIU have accepted IMI Kolkata as a college. In 2010, the International Management Institute (IMI) of Kolkata was founded. With its flagship Post Graduate Diploma in Management Program currently certified by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) for a duration of two years beginning in July 2016, the Institute began operations in the year 2011. The All India Council for Technical Education gave the Institute of Six Years permission to start the Fellow programme in Management (FPM), a Ph.D. level degree, in 2017. IMI Kolkata graduated its first class of new students in 2013. In 2014, campus placements at IMI Kolkata soared, with 96% of students landing jobs at some of the most prestigious companies.

IMI-Kolkata offers scholarships to the selected students based on academic performance and financial considerations on completion of the 1st year of their PGDM programme. Special admission consideration is also available for students with remarkable achievements in the field of sport, art and culture as mentioned below:
Interim Scholarship for Outstanding Academic Performance:
IMI-Kolkata offers interim scholarship not exceeding 1 Lakh in the two-year period to a maximum of 3 students per batch enrolled in the Institute on the basis of their outstanding academic performance on the completion of their first year and financial considerations.
Scholarship for Economically Weaker Section:
All students whose total family income is less than Rs. 8 lakhs per annum shall be eligible for Scholarship under Economically Weaker Section.
Applications for Tuition Fee Waiver under Economically Weaker Section shall be invited from the students after they have been admitted into the programmes.
Any student joining PGDM 2020-22 batch who is desirous of claiming the tuition waiver should apply to admissions office (admission-imik@rp-sg.in) before due date as will be intimated by the institute, with a copy of the income tax returns, PAN number, Counsellor’s recommendation or any other document relevant for the financial year 2019-20.
Requests received after due date shall not be processed. Please note that all Applications for Tuition fee waiver (under economically weaker section) shall be collected and processed at one time for all such applicants.

Terms & Conditions - Candidate needs to maintain a minimum CGPA of 8 in the first year of PGDM 2020-22 to continue the scholarship for the second year. In case he/she is unable to maintain the required CGPA, the scholarship will stand cancelled and Original Fee Structure will be applicable for him/her.
40% Tuition Fee Waiver (Academic Criteria)

Terms & Conditions - Candidate needs to maintain a minimum CGPA of 7 in the first year of PGDM 2020-22 to continue the scholarship for the second year. In case he/she is unable to maintain the required CGPA, the scholarship will stand cancelled and Original Fee Structure will be applicable for him/her.
Other Students Benefits:
Students with remarkable achievements in the field of sport, art and culture will be specially considered for Admission 2020 - 22. The admission criteria for the candidate under this scheme may be relaxed at the discretion of the IMI-Kolkata Admissions Committee. Prior intimation from students who wish to apply under this scheme is solicited.
II. IMI-Kolkata encourages SC/ST/OBC/physically challenged students to apply. Also 5% relaxation to be given on CAT percentile for SC/ST/OBC category.

3) Scholarships and benefits cannot be redeemed for cash value.
4) Scholarships funds are to be disbursed periodically throughout the programm
5) Scholarship will be cancelled in case of withdrawal or dismissal of the recipient from the PGDM programme.
