In 1999, the one-year diploma program was upgraded to the two-year Post Graduate Diploma in Management (Rural Management-PGDM-RM) program. In 2013, this diploma program again evolved and was granted as an independent school- XSRM under XUB. XSRM provides the agile space and the ideal platform of learning for students, working professionals, researchers and faculty, allowing them to bring uniqueness in the social space they are in. The two-year full-time residential Masters Program in Rural Management of XSRM is the second-oldest Rural Management Masters Program in the country. It has emerged in response to the demand for professionals with proper knowledge and necessary skill sets to work in Rural communities and markets, in businesses along with the development programs of government and civil society organizations. Its unique feature is the dual competencies in rural development & management course.
