Xavier School of Rural Management focuses on nurturing professionals and knowledgeable leaders who would help in the effective management of rural institutions, businesses, development programs and civil society organizations, engaged in progressive economic development and social transformation work. The teaching components that highlight experiential learning through extensive fieldwork is a unique feature of XSRM. Rural Management-PGDM-RM started with the commitment to reach the rural society and serve them with the most possible and cutting edge management tools. In the year 1995, this practice-based knowledge played a significant role in designing and launching the one year Post Graduate Diploma Program in Rural Management for graduates students and NGO members. In 1999, the one-year diploma program was upgraded to the two-year Post Graduate Diploma in Management (Rural Management-PGDM-RM) program. In 2013, this diploma program again evolved and was granted as an independent school- XSRM under XUB. XSRM provides the agile space and the ideal platform of learning for students, working professionals, researchers and faculty, allowing them to bring uniqueness in the social space they are in. The two-year full-time residential Masters Program in Rural Management of XSRM is the second-oldest Rural Management Masters Program in the country. It has emerged in response to the demand for professionals with proper knowledge and necessary skill sets to work in Rural communities and markets, in businesses along with the development programs of government and civil society organizations. Its unique feature is the dual competencies in rural development & management course. The Masters Program is dedicated to creating professionals with the right skills to run business and development organizations, and the passion to use their capabilities for the betterment of Rural Communities. This unique program is gratified of preparing dedicated and responsible leaders who can analyze, reflect, plan and execute Sustainable Development strategies in rural areas.

  • XSRM has an array of scholastic academicians and esteemed faculty members who constantly guides the students and leads the way towards excellence.
