Head at the School of Management and Entrepreneurship, IIT Jodhpur since August 2020. He was a Professor at SJMSOM, IIT Bombay since 1999 and Visiting Professor in Business Policy area, IIMA from A pril 2008 to June 2012 (on leave from IITB). Currently teaches and researches in the area Strategy, Leadership and Marketing. His major areas of interest are Business Strategy, Leadership & Innovation, Services Marketing and Customer satisfaction. He has more than 20 years of experience as an academic and more than 18 years of senior level corporate experience with many textile and apparel organizations in India and abroad; as well as on many consultancy assignments. Presented papers and delivered invited talks at many national and international conferences/ seminars /workshops and also at many institutions in India and abroad. Has conceptualized a new way of learning about the leadership from the leaders of various walks of life and implemented it successfully. He has been the Project Leader of a world wide study of Internet usage by the business sectors in India. He was the first Dean (Alumni & External Relationships) of IIM Ahmadabad from August 2010 to June 2012 He authored the book titled “Strategies for Growth”, published by Random House India in 2010, as part of IIMA Business Book Series.

Dr. Gaurav has done postdoc in area of financial data analytics from University College Dublin (UCD). He has obtained PhD degree in area of Market Microstructure from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kharagpur, and a MBA degree from Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT), Delhi and B Tech from MNNIT, Allahabad. He has studied liquidity of midcap stocks as an area of research for his doctoral thesis. He has industry experience in SAP ERP consulting while working for Tata Consultancy Services (TCS). He has received many awards and grants including UGC Junior Research Fellowship (JRF). His research work is presented at various International conferences at American Economic Association (USA), ICMA centre (London), Corvinus University (Hungary), La Trobe University (Melbourne), IIM Ahmedabad, IIT Madras, IIT Kharagpur, and IIT Kanpur.

Dr. Manish has been a faculty member in IT and analytics, senior subject matter expert, lead business analyst, consultant, and research fellow in India and abroad in well-known organizations. He has received awards and fellowships by DAAD, European Commission, Govt. of Canada, Swiss Govt, Irish Research Council, Microsoft Inc. His various articles in IT have appeared in Informs Journal on Computing, IEEE Trans. on Neural Networks, IEEE Trans. on Data and Knowledge Engg., IEEE Trans. on Systems, Man Cybernetics, IEEE Trans. on Fuzzy Systems, International Journal of Machine Learning and Cybernetics, Journal of Multi Criteria Decision Analysis, Knowledge-based Systems, etc.

Dr. Mayank Kumar obtained his Ph.D. from IIM Trichy. His doctoral thesis, broadly focused on Health IT, was an interdisciplinary study carried out on the interface of Information Systems, healthcare, and Sociology. His research interests lie on the social issues of Information Systems, and he employs diverse methodological and theoretical approaches in his research inquiries. Mayank’s teaching interests are on the use of Analytics in Marketing such as Digital Marketing, Web Analytics, Social Media Analytics and E-Commerce, and the emerging advanced analytics courses such as Deep Learning, Data Visualization, and Artificial Intelligence. His research articles have appeared in several leading journals including International Journal of Information Management and Journal of Knowledge Management. He has also presented papers at several leading conferences including International Conference on Information Systems (ICIS) and Americas Conference on Information Systems (AMCIS). During his Ph.D. at IIM Trichy, he was also invited to attend the prestigious ICIS doctoral consortium 2018 held in San Francisco, USA (among the 40 candidates selected from the global pool of applicants).

Expert in Strategic Management, Entrepreneurship & Public Policy, Dr. R.K. Mitra has vast experience after having served Government of India since joining Civil Services in 1984. He has handled several key projects that include: Special Economic Zones, Indian Visa and Immigration, Police training and administrative matters of CAPFs (Armed Forces of the Union of India). He has extensively worked on e-governance from public policy and strategic management perspective Dr. Mitra hold a Doctor of Philosophy in the area of egov from Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IITD) which he completed in 2004. Prior to that he obtained MBA from IIT Delhi in 2000. His interest in academics kept him affiliated as Visiting Professor to several institutions in the country viz. IIITM Gwalior, LBS Institute of Management, IIT Delhi, IIT Kharagpur and IIM Rohtak. He delivers invited and guest lectures at several B Schools. Being a civil servant, he has a vast deposit of practical exposure to strategy as well as public policy and governance. He authored of several research articles published in leading international journals of repute (e.g Government Information Quarterly with Impact Factor: 2.515(2015). 5 Year Impact Factor: 2.2632.0). He has also edited a book ‘E-government: Macro issues’.

Venkat is an Assistant Professor in the Human Capital and Organizational Dynamics area at the School of Management and Entrepreneurship at IIT Jodhpur. Before joining IIT Jodhpur, he worked as a faculty in the Organization Management area at IIT Delhi. He holds a dual degree (M.Sc. & Ph.D.) in Management from IIT Madras.

Venkat's longstanding interest has been to understand: What makes humans an intelligent and rational species? Why do humans act (at times) as though stripped of these virtues? What could be done to avoid such aberrations?

He believes much of human life is about achieving a 'fine balance' with the biological and socio-cultural environs. What we do in service of this 'fine balance' is mostly a function of how our wants, thoughts, and feelings blend in the space between the two ears. Notably, our ability to reason is overrated, and thoughts are often a handyman to what we want and how we feel. Paradoxically, this dynamic not only makes humans intelligent and rational but also strips them of these virtues. Interventions that target the dynamic of wants and feelings hold promise.

More recently, Venkat has also begun exploring: Why some organizations survive while others become obsolete? What kind of purposes can add to/be detrimental to organizational survival and sustenance? To answer the questions he raises, Venkat uses intuitive, experimental, and quasi-experimental methods.

Dr. Anuj Pal Kapoor holds a PhD from Faculty of Management Studies (FMS), University of Delhi and his research areas include consumer psychology towards web-based platforms, collaborative consumption, and digital transformation & maturity. During his Ph.D., he developed a framework for strategic partnership between banks and e-commerce players, based on the digital consumption patterns of consumers across India. Prior to joining the PhD program, he has worked in the industry for six years across marketing, innovation and consulting domains. He was responsible for setting up the innovations function at HDFC Life based out of Mumbai and spearheaded the analytics function at Michael Page India, Gurgaon. Dr. Anuj also holds an MBA from Symbiosis International University; Bremen University of Applied Sciences (Germany) and B.E in Electronics and Communications from Institute of Technology & Management, Gurgaon. He also holds a certificate in Innovation Management from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT, USA). Anuj is the recipient of ICSSR doctoral fellowship and was awarded the UNESCO fellow (Paris).

Abhishek Sharma is a faculty at SME-IIT Jodhpur in Decision Sciences & Operations area. He is a fellow of IIM Rohtak in operations management area and Bachelor of Technology graduate in Chemical Engineering from NIT Srinagar. His research interests include behavioural operations, social preferences in supply chain management, channel coordination & supply chain contracts, multi-channel supply chains, green supply chain, etc. His teaching interests include production and operations management, operations research and quantitative techniques, logistics and supply chain management, and project management. His research work has been published in several reputed academic journals such as Computers & Industrial Engineering, Journal of Business and Industrial Marketing, Benchmarking: An International Journal, International Journal of Strategic Decision Sciences, International Journal of Indian Culture and Business Management, Operations & Supply Chain Management- An International Journal etc. and he has also presented his work in leading international conferences such as 26th Annual European Operations Management Association (EuROMA) conference 2019 held in Helsinki, Finland. Additionally, he is lean six sigma green belt certified by background. Prior to doctoral studies, he has worked with Tata Chemicals Ltd. (Fertilizer’s division), Babrala in the ammonia production department. He had also qualified for M.Tech. in Chemical Engineering at IIT Delhi through GATE 2013 with AIR 320.

Prof. Preeti Tiwari holds a PhD degree in the area of Social Entrepreneurship from BITS Pilani. Her primary area of research areas is entrepreneurship/social entrepreneurship, sustainability and sustainable entrepreneurship. Before joining IIT Jodhpur, she worked as a faculty in the Strategy area at TAPMI Manipal. Preeti’s teaching interest lies in the subjects like Sustainability, Entrepreneurship, Business leadership, organisation design and structure etc. Her research articles have been published in various leading journals like Journal of Sustainable Tourism, Benchmarking and Journal of Social Entrepreneurship. She has also presented her work in conferences like Academy of Management, IMRDC IIM Bangalore, Strategic management Society conference etc.

Dr. Choudhary holds a PhD in economics from School of Management, IIT Bombay. Her area of expertise and research is predominantly in development economics, education and health economics, public policy and gender studies with a special focus on intergenerational and mobility studies. Her research work has been published in leading international journals such as Social Indicators Research, PloS One, and International Journal of Social Economics. She has also published a book chapter for the book ‘Population Change and Public Policy’ published by Springer Publishing Company. She is an active contributor of articles to platforms such as live mint, Ideas for India and IHDS newsletters with an aim to take her research interest beyond research articles and contribute to the society in a meaningful way. She has presented her work at various renowned international conferences in the area of development economics such as SASE, HDCA and RDW conferences. She is a recipient of the prestigious RDW fellowship award by the International Labor Organization, Geneva for her work on the role of occupation on interpersonal violence.
