Each flat consists of three or four bedrooms, a common room and a kitchenette. All the rooms in the flats have single occupancy and are installed with intercom and voice and data ports for telephone, campus LAN and the Internet. Housekeeping services are also provided.
Student Block
The Student Block of IIM Ranchi has recently shifted to the residential block of the sports village a.k.a. Khelgaon which is located in the outskirt of Ranchi. The cool, calm and pleasant weather, lots of greenery and being away from the turmoil of the city provides a colourful and vibrant ambiance, making it ideal for student life. The housing facility at IIM Ranchi is at par with the best in the world. It consists of separate blocks for girls and boys. IIM Ranchi is one of the few institutes which have fully Wi-Fi enabled campus

Canteen and Mess facilities are available around the clock at both Khelgaon and Suchna Bhavan. The food menu is charted taking into account the diverse profile of students.
The Indian Institute of Management Ranchi (IIM Ranchi is a public busness school located in Ranchi,jharkhand,india. IIM Ranchi was established at Ranchi on 15 December 2009.
It was the first IIM offering a specialized PGDHRM course.This B school currently offers a 2 year PGDM in General management and 2 year fulltime programme on Human Resources Management (PGDHRM), Fellow Program in Management and 18 month part time Diploma in Management (PGEXP). IIM Ranchi has also launched a certified Barefoot Manager program to promote entrepreneurship and to impart livelihood skills among the school drop outs and illiterates.
We aim at creating efficient managers and business leaders. We strive to ensure that our students develop the right skills required to sustain and grow in any organization.We pay keen attention towards cultivating a winning spirit, which is why they are encouraged to participate in standard competitions on all platforms. At the same time, we also take efforts in preparing the students for the future by teaching courses on emerging trends and areas like neural networks, analytics and energy management.
The college operates from a temporary campus in Suchana Bhavan, behind the Governor House premises in the heart of Ranchi. The student hostels of IIM Ranchi are located at Khelgaon.
IIM Ranchi was ranked 28 by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) management ranking in 2019. Based on the recent NIRF 2020 Ranking released on 11th June 2020, IIM Ranchi improved it’s rank to 20th place in the management category.

Ragging is strictly prohibited inside and outside the Institute campus. The Anti-Ragging Committee constituted for this purpose by the Institute is empowered to take an immediate action against any untoward incident and also to counsel the fresher. Students seeking admission shall have to furnish undertaking in this regard. To enhance familiarity and to acclimatize the fresher to the academic and social environment of the campus, the institute organizes an orientation session in the first week of the new academic calendar.
The student will also be required to give an undertaking in the proforma and signed by the candidate and his/her parent/guardian to the effect that he/she is aware of the Institute’s approach towards ragging and the punishment to which he/she shall be liable, if found guilty of ragging.
