IMI Kolkata's Criteria for Admission Eligibility, Cutoffs, and Selection Process for PGDM Programs
Acceptance into the PGDM program is based on the scores obtained in CAT/XAT/MAT/CMAT, with the entrance exam accounting for 35% of the final selection criteria. Academic performance holds a 15% weightage, while work experience is considered with a 5% weightage. Additionally, IMI Kolkata places significant emphasis on candidates' personal interviews (30%), giving importance to extra-curricular activities (2.5%), gender diversity (2.5%), and the written ability test (WAT) with a weightage of 10% in the overall evaluation process.
The applicant must hold a minimum 3 years’ bachelor's degree recognized by AIU (Association of Indian Universities), with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA. A candidate appearing for the final year bachelor's degree/equivalent qualification examination and those who have completed the degree requirements and are awaiting results are also eligible to apply.
Only shortlisted candidates will be called for the final stage of the selection process – the Individual Assessment Individual Assessment Process (Personal Interview) will be held in January/ February 2024 (tentative).

IMI Kolkata Admission is ongoing as the CAT registration has begun. The application process is online for all the courses. The admission is entrance-based for the flagship course.

IMI Kolkata offers a range of specializations in the 2nd year of PGDM program. Students may indicate more than one specialization. IMI Kolkata also offers dual specialization which can be an added advantage during the placement. In the second year of the program, students can choose their specialization from among the multiple elective courses to suit their aptitude and interest.
