Admissions & Cut-Offs

Minimum Admission Eligibility Criteria Required, Cutoffs, and Selection Process for MBA Program in Bengal Institute of Business Studies (BIBS) Kolkata

Candidates applying should possess a bachelor's degree with a minimum duration of three years, duly accredited by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), AICTE, and UGC. Additionally, they must have attained a minimum of 45% marks or an equivalent CGPA. Those in the final year of their bachelor's program or individuals who have fulfilled the degree requirements and are awaiting results are also eligible to apply.

Enrollment in these courses is contingent upon successfully passing management entrance exams such as CAT/XAT/MAT or Any other National Level Entrance Test & Candidates without valid scores will have to appear for BIBSAT. The admission test for BIBS. Followed by Group Discussion and a Personal Interview. Candidates without a score in any of the above-mentioned exams need to appear for the BIBSAT exam conducted by BIBS.

Students in groups create a product or service that they plan to launch as an Entrepreneurial startup. Evaluation of U.S.P is done by some of the most high profile venture capitalists, angel investors, and entrepreneurs in the country.

Aspire 2 Achieve (A2A) - Aspire 2 Achieve (A2A) is an exciting competition that empowers every student at Bengal Institute of Business Studies (BIBS) to practice and enhance the key skills that today’s industries demand in their managers. City Scan - This event is a live outdoor learning assignment for BIBS Students. They are given various market segments like Fresh Produce, Grains and Pulses, Electronics, and others for which they have to research the available markets for the same in and around Kolkata and submit a presentation on the finer details about the working of the segment ranging from Branding, Marketing.

Anti ragging

Ragging in any form is strictly prohibited at the Bengal Institute of Business Studies (BIBS-Kolkata). Those found involved in ragging will face appropriate disciplinary action in accordance with the Supreme Court of India's directive. The institution maintains a "Zero Tolerance Policy" in this regard and has established a committee dedicated to preventing and eliminating this unlawful practice from the campus.

How to reach

Kolkata enjoys extensive connectivity through both air and rail services from various parts of India. If you're traveling by train, you can disembark at either Sealdah Junction or Howrah Junction and avail the services of Ola or Uber for convenient transportation. The distance from Sealdah Junction is approximately 9.3 KM, requiring a 24-minute journey, while from Howrah Junction, it's around 12.7 KM with a 29-minute travel time.

For those arriving at Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport in Dum Dum, Kolkata, the distance to BIBS is approximately 23.4 KM. In normal traffic conditions, it takes about 39 minutes to reach BIBS from the airport. BIBS is conveniently located, being just a 10-minute drive from Rashbihari, and the nearest metro station is Kalighat. Notably, it is situated directly opposite Priya Cinema Hall.
